The conference part of the eighth edition of the Moscow Urban Forum themed around ‘Megacity of the Future. New Space for Living’ concluded on July 18. Tashir Group has traditionally come forward as General Partner of the event that this year took place at the recently opened Zaryadye Park in Moscow. Russian President Vladimir Putin personally addressed more than 7,000 delegates from 70 countries.

The Moscow Urban Forum is a major international congress with a strong focus on the development of global space and megacities that brings together city officials from Russia and around the world, architects, city planners, developers, executives at financial institutions, investors, media professionals, and residents.

In his welcoming remarks, the Russian president praised the capital’s improvements: “Moscow is a great platform for creative ideas, fresh concepts and architectural projects.”
The conference kicked off with Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin’s report on the highlights of the past seven years and plans for the future: “In the past seven years we gathered in Moscow to talk about our response to contemporary challenges that the world cities are facing. Over these years, we heard so many ideas, so many theories, and many case studies, and I would like to express my appreciation to those who sincerely care about the future of our cities, about the future of Moscow. We have found your expertise and your ideas to be extremely insightful.”

It is the eighth time that Tashir Group acts as General Partner to the Moscow Urban Forum. This year, the Group showcased its latest urban infrastructure projects. As was reported earlier, Tashir will construct four transit hubs in the Russian capital to contribute to a more comfortable city environment and safer interchanges. The Group also presented its landmark construction projects in medicine, residential apartments, and other infrastructure sites.

The Forum is scheduled to continue through July 22 with a traditional mix of events including a citywide festival, an industry-specific exhibition for developers, the MUF Awards, and experimental labs.
