On June 3, 2021, Tashir MEDICA (part of Tashir Group) signed a trilateral cooperation agreement with Rostec’s Shvabe and RT Business Development at the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum. Under the agreement, a common concept and approach will be developed to optimize lab diagnostics services in Russia, which will make for more efficient use of the funds allocated for clinical tests and will expand the panel of available tests.

RT Business Development CEO Aleksandr Nazarov, Tashir MEDICA managing partner Arsen Galstyan and Shvabe CEO Aleksei Patrikeyev took part in the signing ceremony.

“This cooperation agreement with Rostec’s subsidiaries intended to centralize and optimize lab services is a major milestone for Tashir MEDICA. We have been working on this matter for a long time. For over 20 years, our companies have been working on similar projects in various parts of Russia. Now we can offer a new approach to this process – not only modern lab equipment but also new infrastructure. We have completed the first pilot project in Belgorod, and within the next few years we plan to significantly expand our footprint, becoming a strategic partner and the gold standard the lab industry for most public clinics around the country, ” Tashir MEDICA managing partner Arsen Galstyan said.

Within the next five years, the partners plan to create a network of lab diagnostic centers in several provinces of Russia. They will also help localize the manufacturing of lab equipment and chemicals. This will allow to expand the range of lab services, improve their quality, reduce processing times, and optimize labs’ work by supplying them with necessary chemicals and tools.

“Centralization of lab diagnostics will provide a major boost for the system and make modern tests more available for people. In our health care projects, we always put patients’ interests first, and this partnership is no exception. Shvabe, for its part, is ready to offer its tested technologies and products for this project,” Shvabe CEO Aleksei Patrikeyev said.

In addition, most processes at local medical offices around the country will be automated and digitized, which will also shorten the processing time and improve the quality of services provided.

“The project will enable us to institute common standards for all the stages of lab diagnostics and significantly increase the efficiency and quality of the health care services. Centralization of lab tests is a global trend today, and we are confident that our project will prove beneficial to the people of Russia,” RT Business Development CEO Aleksandr Nazarov said.
