In 2017, Tashir Group continued growing in all the key areas. The group’s total revenue this year for all the industries (construction, development, manufacturing, retail, energy, finance, health care, etc.) in Russia and abroad amounted to 164 billion rubles.

Development
In 2017, Tashir retained its leading position based on the number of commercial assets under management in Russia. By the end of the year, the group has 51 commercial real estate assets, including 31 shopping centers.
Expansion of the nationwide RIO chain into Armenia was one of the highlights of 2017. Tashir Group performed the entire scope of work, including design, construction and brokerage, for a new shopping center in Yerevan. The new center’s total area is 24,000 square meters. The group invested a total of $40 million in the project.

A number of shopping centers are currently under construction in Moscow. Tashir continues working on the multipurpose centers on Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment (93,700 sq.m.) and on Aminyevskoye Shosse (125,000 sq.m.).

In 2017, Tashir shopping centers once again won various professional awards. For example, Avenue Southwest in Moscow won the 2017 RCSC Best Shopping Center Award in the Medium Size category.

Construction
2017 was a good year for Tashir in residential construction. The group started building a new premium apartment complex in southwestern Moscow, Ambassador Golf Club Residence on Michurinsky Prospekt. Tashir will invest a total of about 2 billion rubles in the project.

Also, in 2017 Tashir started building the Rozmarin Deluxe residential complex on a 1.2 hectare property at the intersection of Namyotkina Street and Khersonskaya Street. The new complex will consist of three sections with varying number of stories, landscaped surroundings and an underground parking garage. The total area of the complex will amount to approximately 40,000 sq.m. The complex will consist of 540 apartments.

Another residential complex is under construction in Skolkovo. The Bereg Stolitsy premium complex in Serebryany Bor, Khoroshovsky Borough, is in the final stages of construction. The total are of the premium villa community is over 8 hectares. The group has invested about $150 million in the project.

Tashir continues designing four transport hubs in Moscow: Seligerskaya, Park Pobedy, Troparyovo and Pyatnitskoye Shosse. The group wll invest over 30 billion rubles in these projects. Once construction is finished in 2020, in addition to transport infrastructure the hubs will include commercial areas, including stores, offices and hotels.

In 2017, the group was the general contractor for the construction of two new Leroy Merlin hypermarkets in Petrozavodsk and Arkhangelsk, each 17,000 sq.m. Both are the first Leroy Merlin hypermarkets in their respective cities.

In 2017, Tashir completed the construction of a new building of the Morozov Children’s Hospital, which will now be one of the best hospitals in Russia in term of its functional and technical capabilities. In three years, Tashir replaced dilapidated buildings of the Infectious Diseases Division with a modern nine-story building for 500 in-patients standing on a 12 hectare property. Moscow’s biggest hospital for children has 15 divisions, including the first bone marrow transplant division in Moscow. The total area of the hospital is over 71,000 sq.m. It can receive up to 70,000 or 80,000 patients a year.

Construction of the perinatal/cardiology center for 450 in-patients is in the final stages. The center is located on the campus of the Vorokhobov Hospital in Moscow. It will be Europe’s biggest center of this kind and will have state-of-the-art equipment.

Energy
The group implemented a number of major energy projects in 2017. The net profit of Electric Networks of Armenia (part of Tashir Group) in 2017 amounted to $15.5 million. Power losses on the grid have been reduced from 9.7% to 8.8%, which is close to Europe’s average indicators.

In November 2017, Tashir presented in Yerevan its investment program for Armenia’s energy industry. The program includes two items: $900 million worth of investment in reconstruction of the existing energy infrastructure and introduction of the automatic power accounting system, and construction of a hydropower plant at Shnokh.

In Ufa, the capital of Bashkortostan, Kaskad is in the final stages of building Zatonskaya Power Plant No. 5. The engineering holding company performs all the works related to building the plant. As part of the project, Kaskad will also build the generator units and auxiliary structures.

Late in the year, as usual, Kaskad took part in the Russian Electrical Networks Expo, presenting a modern automatic accounting system, drones and a series of low-voltage electric equipment manufactured by the Kaluga and Yerevan plants.

In December, Tashir Group, as always, adorned the streets of Moscow with lights, New Year trees, holiday decorations and installations.

Tashir set up New Year trees on Moscow’s central streets and illuminated the city’s squares, parks and embankments with thousands of lights and kilometers of garlands, creating a festive atmosphere on the streets of Moscow.

Finance
In 2017, Fora Bank marked its 25th anniversary. Today, the bank is one of Russia’s leading banks in financial services and a reliable business partner steadily growing throughout the years. The bank expanded this year, opening 14 new branches. Currently, Fora Bank has 104 branches in 18 provinces of the Russian Federation.

Retail
Tashir continued developing its retail projects in 2017. The group launched a new footwear brand, One Way. Six stores are currently open in Moscow and Yerevan. The group plans to expand the chain to ten stores next year.

The Take Away department store chain, one of the group’s flagship retail projects, expanded as well. The project is now present in four shopping centers in Moscow with the combined area of about 20,000 sq.m.

The Goood’s House home improvement chain opened a new stor in the RIO shopping center in Yerevan. The chain now has eight stores in Moscow, Kaluga and Yerevan.

Restaurants and entertainment
The Tashir Pizza fastfood restaurant project (Grand Food Corporation) has expanded, entering the international market. In 2017, Tashir Pizza opened 19 new restaurants, including its first restaurant in the UAE capital. Currently, the Grand Food Corporation has 132 restaurants in 48 cities of Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia and the UAE.

The national chain of Cinema Star multiplexes increased the number of theaters. It currently has 28 multiplexes (148 screens) in 16 cities of Russia and Armenia. The opening of a theater for children at the RIO shopping center on Dmitrovskoye Shosse was one of the highlights for Cinema Star in 2017.

In December, Tashir launched a unique project in Armenia, opening an exotic zoo, Zoolandia, in Yerevan. The zoo has 30 different species from various parts of the planet. This is not the first such project by the group. In 2014, Tashir opened an exotic zoo at the RIO shopping center on Dmitrovskoye Shosse, which at the time was the only such zoo in Russia. Zoolandia in Yerevan is the third exotic zoo in the group’s portfolio (the first two are in Moscow and St. Petersburg).

Other areas
Tashir Group continues diversifying its portfolio, launching new projects in various areas. This year, Tashir partnered up with Korea’s Seoul National University Bundang Hospital to design a multipurpose state-of-the-art hospital which will be part of the International Medical Cluster in Skolkovo. It will be the first world-class fully digital clinic in Russia. The group will invest a total of 15 billion rubles in the project. The hospital is scheduled to be commissioned in 2021.
Other health care projects include Pediatrician 24/7 and Online Doctor, services of online medical consultations which bring together programmers, Russia’s leading medical centers and practicing doctors. The mission of these projects is to make medical consultation more accessible to all people in Russia regardless of where they live.

In 2017, the group rebranded the Intention communications agency, which has been providing advertising services since 2005 in over 40 shopping centers, as well as other commercial real estate facilities with the combined area of over 1 million sq.m. Currently, the agency has offices in 15 Russian cities.

This year, Tashir launched three new Deworkacy coworking spaces in central Moscow. The first Deworkacy opened last August at Red October. In November 2017, it received the Runet Award in the Technology and Innovation category.
