On November 15, the Days of Armenian Culture in Russia kicked off with Tashir Group as General Partner. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan attended the opening ceremony at the Tretyakov Gallery.

The two leaders visited an exhibition of 30 paintings by Martiros Saryan from the National Gallery of Armenia, the Martiros Saryan Museum in Yerevan and the Tretyakov Gallery.

“It is such interesting and popular projects as Days of Culture that bring us closer and unite us, eliciting genuine emotions and strengthening our friendship and cooperation. I strongly believe that cultural programs will continue playing an important role in our cooperation, benefiting both of  our nations,” Vladimir Putin said.

The Days of Armenian Culture will be held in Moscow and other major Russian cities through the end of December. The event will include exhibitions, concerts, music and drama performances, as well as educational events. Also, a free screening of famous movies by Armenian directors will take place at the Cinema Star multiplex at Tashir's Yerevan Plaza shopping center from November 20-24.

Tashir has long been supporting Armenian cultural and art projects, as well as social and charity programs. The Tashir charity foundation has been promoting educational and cultural projects in Armenia for many years. The foundation helped rebuild a number of churches and cathedrals in Armenia and Russia and supported Armenia at the MIDEM  international  music festival.
