The project aims to create a comfortable urban environment to ensure an easy and fast transfer between different modes of public and private transport as well as construction of a network of park and ride facilities.
The effort is in line with the official City Hall blueprint to make Moscow a more comfortable place. By 2020, more than 250 modern transport hubs will be put into operation near existing and future metro and rail stations. The interchange will be divided into the transport area and commercial properties which will house new multi-functional facilities.
The company will soon start designing and building the Seligerskaya hub, to be located at the intersection of Dmitrovskoye Shosse and Korovinskoye Shosse. Named after the nearby metro station, it will be launched in late 2019 or early 2020.
With a total space of around 160,000 sq m, Seligerskaya is expected to be one of the largest in the network.
The layout features a four-storey facility with retail and administrative areas of 145,000 sq m and a bus stop for intercity bus routes of 15,000 sq m. It will also house Park + Ride, a parking lot, overpasses and underground passages. The territory around the hub will see improvements, too. According to preliminary projections, Seligerskaya’s capacity will be up to 500,000 people a day.
Currently, the district whose residents are serviced by some 25 surface public transport routes offers no P&R facilities.
Tashir Group will build three more hubs, Park Pobedy (with a total area of 5 ha), Pyatnitskoye Shosse (0.9 ha), and Troparyovo (0.16 ha). They are expected to be put into operation in 2018.
The Park Pobedy hub will service two lines of the Moscow underground and offer an easy interchange to surface public transport. The area with a total space of 237,000 sq m will boast a transit zone, a four-storey mall and recreation centre, a 35-storey business centre and a block of apartments with an underground parking lot. Tashir Group will also build a glass gallery linking the facilities to the promenade area of Park Pobedy.
Another multi-functional centre with a total floor of 8,000 sq m will open as part of the Troparyovo hub based on the eponymous station of the Sokolniki line of the Moscow underground. The purely technical area for public transport will be replaced by a modern facility that will house both the service area (the control room and a waiting hall) and retail outlets (around 6,000 sq m). Residents will have access to a P&R facility.
Tashir Group will also build the Pyatnitskoye Shosse hub as part of the reconstruction of the highway and the development programme of the city government.
Planned to be located at the crossing of the highway and Muravskaya and Mitinskaya streets, the interchange will feature a multi-functional facility with a total space of 16,200 sq m as well as a passenger gallery for trouble-free transfer for residents and visitors alike. Underground parking will be available for people who come outside of Moscow.

Our goal is to transform what appears to be an ordinary hub into a comfortable multi-purpose environment for residents.”
Transport hubs are considered to be key to improving the quality and safety of Moscow’s infrastructure and cutting the time needed to transfer between travel modes. They are also expected to ease the pressure on congested arteries with the help of ride and park facilities, and ensure better access to uptown Moscow districts.
The project by Tashir Group will bring new jobs and a total retail space of some 310,000 sq m. All the hubs are to be equipped with facilities for low-mobility residents.
