On May 27, 1992, Joint-Stock Commercial Bank FORA BANK was registered in the Central Bank of Russia and entered in the Book for State Registration of Lending Institutions under registry number 1885. 24 years later, FORA BANK has once again confirmed its status as one of Russia’s largest banks.

Since its founding in 1992, FORA BANK has been rapidly growing to expand its geography of presence and to become well established in Russia’s banking services market. FORA BANK has made it once again to Kommersant’s annual ranking of Russia’s largest banks in terms of net assets; it’s ranked at No. 108 with net assets at 39,969,473 thousand rubles (as of May 1, 2016). The ranking published in Kommersant Money economic magazine (Issue 21 of May 30, 2016) includes a total of 633 Russian banks.

By January 1, 2016, FORA BANK had 76 departments, including 7 major branches with a wide network of additional and front offices as well as limited service branches (a total of 69 internal structural departments) located in Moscow, Reutov, Orekhovo-Zuevo, Kolomna, Naro-Fominsk, Kaluga, Obninsk, Maloyaroslavets, Vorotynsk, St. Petersburg, Lipetsk, Tambov, Perm, Saransk, Nizhny Novgorod, Yaroslavl, Ivanovo, Rybinsk, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi, Adler, Krasnodar, and Tver. The office network continues expanding in accordance with the Bank’s Development Strategy confirmed by FORA BANK Board and Samvel Sarkisovich Karapetyan as the ultimate beneficiary and President of Tashir Group.
