His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has decorated Samvel Karapetyan, President and Founder of Tashir group, with an Order of the Faithful Saint Prince Daniel of Moscow, 3rd class, for his contribution to the construction of the Orthodox Church of Sts. Primates, Equal-to-the-Apostles Cyril and Methodius in Dubrovka.

This is a church in memory of the victims of the 2002 terrorist attack in the musical theatre in Dubrovka, and it is located next to the theatre. The Cyril and Methodius church in Dubrovka was the first church to be started within the 200 Churches Moscow programme initiated by Patriarch Kirill with the help of the Moscow Government.

According to Patriarch Kirill, erection of the new holy space is commemoration of both the innocent victims of terrorism and those who protect us from danger.

This is not the first award to be received by Samvel Karapetyan. For instance, in 2012, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill honoured the President of Tashir Group with a Russian Orthodox Church Glory and Honour Order, 2nd class, for his contribution to reconstruction of St. Nicholas Naval Cathedral in Kronstadt. And back in 2001, His Holiness Patriarch Alexis II of Moscow and All Russia awarded Samvel Karapetyan an Order of the Faithful Saint Prince Daniel of Moscow, 2nd class, for reconstruction of the church in Nedelnoe village, near the city of Maloyaroslavets, Kaluga region.
