Tashir Group has launched a new project for the development of a 175,000 square metres shopping centre in the city of Mytishi, in the Moscow region. The total investment will amount to approximately 300 million US dollars.

The centre will be constructed on Yaroslavskoye highway in proximity to the existing building at address 2B. The specific siting remains subject to the reconstruction of nearby Yaroslavl highway. The new shopping centre will have direct access from Yaroslavskoye highway and Furazhniy passage. The main entrance to the complex will be from Yaroslavskoye highway; with planned open parking for 2,800 cars.

Sarkis Karapetyan, vice-president of Tashir Group: "Tashir Group continues to expand its geographic presence. The new shopping centre will be built in one of the fastest growing cities in the Moscow region. In this project, we decided to focus on the entertainment component - a variety of forms of family entertainment that we plan to accommodate will provide the new complex with a strong competitive advantage, and the visitors with fascinating leisure opportunities. This policy of retailer selection remains unchanged – it is still the same, i.e. that the leading international and Russian operators will remain with us allowing visitors the opportunity for high-quality shopping".

The development of the two-storey shopping centre includes placement of over 300 stores of the leading international and Russian retail chains. The following sectors will be represented as the anchor tenants: grocery and DIY hypermarkets, a hypermarket of home appliances and electronics, a department store of children's products. Moreover, the project includes an 11-screen 'Cinema Star' cinema, an entertainment centre with an area of over 10,000 square metres for children and adults, and over 50 restaurants and cafes.
