This November 24, the opening ceremony of a new shopping and entertainment mall RIO with 20,000 sq.m. GBA was held in the centre of Saransk. 100% of its tenants were already operating. Tashir Group has invested a total of 35M USD in the project.

On the first day, over 50,000 people visited the new RIO to enjoy a special entertainment program. The opening of the new mall brought a number of new leader brands of both federal and international retail operators to Saransk. RIO in Saransk added to Tashir Group’s portfolio to bring the number of its operating malls to 25 and RIOs, to 17. Tashir Group was the single executor of all project realization stages. The new RIO is located in the centre of the city at Sovetskaya Street and includes a parking lot to host 100 guest cars. According to the experts, the new mall can expect 20,000+ people traffic per day.

Vladimir Sushkov, Chairman of Republic of Mordovia Government, and Artak Evoyan, Vice President of Tashir Group, were the special guests that cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony. Vladimir Sushkov noted that “Opening of the new RIO mall in Saransk is a long-expected holiday for the city, and a key contribution to our infrastructure development.”

The new RIO anchors include Perekrestok supermarket, Snezhnaya Koroleva, Sportmaster sports store, and Eldorado shop of home electronic appliances. The shopping gallery operators include leading federal and international retail operators, some of them first entering Saransk market in the new RIO: Rendez-vous, Snezhnaya Koroleva, Apple Store, Cinema Star, Zolla, O`stin and many more.

Besides shopping, guests can indulge in a variety of entertainments. Saransk new mall offers all sorts of leisure and fun in its four-hall Cinema Star multiplex and kids’ entertainment centre PlayLab.
