The First RIO Opens in Moscow

A RIO Mall opening in Moscow has been announced by Tashir Group. The new RIO is part of the first conceptual network project in Tashir’s retail portfolio and one of the few full-format malls in Moscow. RIO will feature the best Russian and international brands.

The mall in Bolshaya Cheryomushkinskaya Street will make the starting point in development of RIO, Tashir Group’s new brand which is set to become Russia’s largest federation-wide chain. The developer is planning to open over 20 RIOs within the next decade.

The new mall with over 90K sq m GBA is located in the prestigious South-Western district of Moscow. The mall is perfectly accessible by the city’s Third Transport Ring as well as from three nearby metro stations, Akademicheskaya, Tulskaya, and Leninsky Prospect. Moreover, free shuttles can bring you to RIO from Akademicheskaya station. A two-level parking lot is installed for added comfort of guests.

The new RIO hosts over 200 Russian and international retail operators. The mall’s anchors include NASH Hypermarket, home electronic appliances seller M.Video, Detsky Mir supermarket, DIY store Nash Dom, and more.

The fashion gallery offers Zara, Bershka, New Yorker, Sportmaster, adidas Originals, adidas, Accessorize, Henderson, Camel Active, Tom Klaim, Carlo Pazolini, etc.

The entertainment component of the project includes a modern six-hall Cinema Star multiplex and a kids’ entertainment centre PlayLab. The 1,200-seat food court features McDonald’s, Burger King, Tashir Pizza, Shokoladnitsa, KFC, and more.
