Tashir Group has once again become the General Partner of the Moscow Urban Forum. This year the Forum was held on June 30th-July 3rd at the Central Exhibition Hall Manege under the title “The Megapolis Age: Global, National and Local Priorities.” Tashir Group serves as a Forum partner for the sixth time.
Experts and mayors from all around the world discussed key trends in city planning and territorial development at every level, from towns to agglomerations. City flexibility and adaptivity in a situation of intensive change, the link between national interests and local municipal policies, expansion of megapolises into agglomerations, the shift from geographic zoning to the space-based kind that takes into account social, economic, transportation and other connections of territories were among the debated topics.
More than eight thousand people attended the event to partake in discussions, workshops, exhibitions and research displays. Many well-known urban studies specialists from various countries came to the event to deliver speeches; the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin, Deputy Mayor Marat Khusnullin and the Vice Mayor of Beijing Chen Gang gave keynote addresses.
