GASTROPORT, the first and biggest food hall in Sochi, had its opening ceremony on November 23. The new space of 2,000 square meters brought together over 30 different concepts, including some of the best representatives of various ethnic gastronomic traditions. Tashir Group invested 200 million rubles in the project.

GASTROPORT offers a fine choice of restaurants and farm stands where one can purchase fresh groceries. It is the first project of the kind in Sochi. Simultaneously, a number of Russia’s leading restaurateurs opened their first corners in Sochi at GASTROPORT. The name GASTROPORT is a reference to the food hall’s location, Sochi’s iconic sea port.

Tashir’s new project is located outside the group’s Grand Marina Gallery on Nesebrskaya Street. Over 5,000 people attended the opening ceremony. The food hall has a total of 600 seats and can accommodate 3,000 visitors simultaneously.

Each corner has its own style, integrated with the project’s overall design following the seaport theme.

The new complex includes Sochi’s first restaurants by FARШ, Alexander Novikov, Sergei Zhukov’s Ruki Vverkh Bar, the Bổcafe featuring Vietnamese cuisine, the Bali Yummy bowl restaurant, Spanish-cuisine Gastroman, exclusive corners offering Caucasus and Pan-Asian cuisines and many others. The second level has a lounge and a playground for children.

“This is a new important gastronomic location on Sochi’s map, and we are confident that it will become another center of attraction in this hospitable city. We did our best to make sure this new space is not just a place where one can find a rich selection of delicious meals but also a traditional place for family events and meetings with friends, Sochi’s number one gastronomic center,” said Victoria Shakhnazaryan, head of the commercial real estate department.

GASTROPORT plans to host a large number of food-related events: gastronomic festivals and battles between chefs, wine tastings and master classes by famous chefs, lectures and games, sports screenings and art projects.

GASTROPORT is Tashir Group’s second restaurant project in Sochi. In 2016, the group opened D.O.M., the largest restaurant complex on the Black Sea Coast, also at the Grand Marina Gallery.
