After a series of discussions with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Tashir Group has made a decision to offer partial (10 dram per 1 kWh) compensation for electricity bills to low-income households with monthly consumption levels under 250 kWh, starting July 1, 2018. Compensations will cover 25-30% of overall consumption by low-income households. The necessary funds will be provided by Tashir Group.

Supporting low-income households has always been a priority in Tashir Group’s social responsibility policy. The current decision is a continuation of a similar initiative taken a few years ago. From August 2015 to July 2016, the government of Armenia and the Tashir Foundation co-sponsored, in equal parts, compensations for an increased tariff to households consuming under 250 kWh of electricity.
