Tashir Group will be the biggest investor in the construction of the ‘Redkinskoe’ livestock breeding complex in the Dzerzhinsky district of the Kaluga region. By 2016, the old unserviceable plant will be replaced by the regions' largest modern farm for 2,400 head of dairy cattle. Tashir Group has invested 2.4 billion roubles in the project.

On April 18, at the construction launch ceremony, Governor of the Kaluga region Anatoly Artamonov, and the president of Tashir Group Samvel Karapetyan, laid the first brick in the foundation of the future complex.

The modern automated complex for 2,400 head of dairy cattle, equipped with advanced equipment for individual orders from leading international manufacturers, will be operational in 2016. The project will provide the region with from 50 to 100 new jobs.

Anatoly Artamonov, Governor of Kaluga Region said: "The implementation of the ambitious plans of Tashir Group will make a significant contribution to strengthening not only the economy of the municipality, but the agricultural sector in the region as a whole. The improvements to the complex in the current economic climate will contribute to a restriction of imports in the region and assist all enterprising people who are interested in agriculture. We will continue to develop the industry, focused on providing the domestic market with quality products”.

Since its founding, Tashir Group has made a significant contribution to the development of the regions in which it operates, and has extensive experience in implementing socially important projects, including in agriculture.

Hayk Ignatyan, vice-president of Tashir Group: "We are delighted to be able to contribute to the strengthening of the agricultural economy in the Kaluga region. This is not the first investment of the Group in the development of such large-scale projects in the region. Last year Tashir opened a cattle-breeding complex for 2,500 head of dairy cattle, where one year production efficiency achieved the highest results in the field. The implementation of such projects allows for quality and competitiveness in domestic production and the creation of new jobs, which in-turn supports the development of agricultural regions in Russia.
