EXTENSION.AM: Geographical Experience April 10-22, 2018
Supported by Tashir Group and personally the Group’s first vice president, arts patron Tatevik Karapetyan, the Triumph Gallery in Moscow presents EXTENSION.AM: Geographical Experience, an exhibition of 18 modern Armenian artists. The exhibition opens on April 10. It is a continuation of the EXTENSION series, which introduces the audience to the contemporary art scene in various countries.

The works exhibited at Triumph raise the issues of memory, trauma, rethinking of the Soviet past and of the anxieties that came with independence. On April 10-22, visitors will get a chance to see the works of Vaagn Amalbashian, Artur Sarkisyan, Karen Barsegyan, Tigran Khachatryan and other well-known Armenian artists. Also, the project included an educational program: Eva Khachatryan, Vagram Agasyan, Arman Grigoryan and Arevik Arevshatyan told the visitors about contemporary Armenian arts and shared their experiences.

The Triumph Gallery launched the EXTENSION series of exhibitions in 2016. EXTENSION exhibitions present the current art scene of various countries and include displaying the works of major artists at the gallery, lectures and meetings organized jointly with institutional partners (Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, Higher School of Economics, Strelka Institute, etc.), release of a catalog and a parallel program in one of Moscow’s leading museums. After the premiere in Moscow, the exhibitions will go on a tour of Russian cities. Since 2016, the gallery has hosted exhibitions of Romanian, South Korean, Iranian, Estonian, Latvian and Finnish artists.
